We focus on the destination of Ohrid – in our opinion the best place to base any visit to Macedonia. As well as the information and advice we can provide about this wonderful city and region, we can also help you with arranging a visit. With the lack of package holidays available in the UK, we can offer you introductions to the operators you would need to put your own holiday together. This is provided in an open and friendly way, so you are comfortable and confident with your selections and bookings. You would then make your own bookings directly with the operators, but have us in the background to give further advice and check your bookings locally if needed - to give you peace of mind.

This we believe gives you the flexibility to put your own holiday together, but without the need to make oversees calls and struggle with the local language, and with the assurance you know what you are getting – not always possible in these ‘new’ places !

Getting there

As you currently have to choose from the limited scheduled flights and connections that go to Macedonia, we can go through the various flights and airlines available, and where to book. Particular choices of transfer destination, arrival and departure times may suit your particular requirements.

Depending on your choice of route / airline, we can introduce you to a local transport or taxi company that can transfer you from the airport to your accommodation. If you wish to hire a car, we can introduce you to a company in Skopje or Ohrid, depending on whether you wish to use it for your own transfer.

Accommodation

We can suggest a selection of accommodation options that we have visited and checked out locally, and which we can recommend to you with confidence. These range from 5 star Hotels through to self catering apartments.

Tours and Sightseeing

We will also introduce you to local tour operators, so that you can arrange your sightseeing and excursions prior to your visit, and/or after you arrive.

There are numerous places to visit, sites to see, and things to do in and around Ohrid and the Lake, and there is something here for every type of visitor, throughout the year. We can help by suggesting what to see and do, and help you choose from the tour operators’ wide range of organised full and part day tours, and their longer multi day tours and excursions

However, although we are here to advise, guide and assist you putting your visit together, we cannot accept any responsibility or liability for any problems encountered with your visit. All components of the visit are effectively booked by you, independently and directly with the airline, hotel, tour and other operators, and are subject to their terms and conditions. We will however be present to help in any way we can, and are available to oversee and negotiate with operators where possible.
